1913 erfurt
Nrrd help i have a 1913 erfurt in 70%, all numbers match except the clip, my ouestion is there is a (C)just below the gripscrew .
any know what this mark means. sorry i cannot send pics, Nick |
If the (C) means a crown and it's actually on the grip screw, that's an Inspector's stamp indicating acceptance IAW Imperial military directives. You have probably already noted that the Erfurt Luger carries a letter over a crown stamp on almost every part, if not every part. Even the grip screws in 1913 were so stamped.

Doubs, no the (C) is on the frame where the magizine rests

Nick, pictures or a scan would make it easier to figure it out, but other letters or numbers we figure are unit rack numbers or letters?
On the grip area of Weimar guns that have been refinished / gone through the process, mine have assorted letters on them. Maybe someone missed on the stamping? Ed |
