Send Weapons to Ukraine ?

I don't think that's a good idea. Tanks require ocean shipping, lots of parts and maintenance workers. Planes could fly there but again require tons of parts/ordnance/fuel etc and maintenance workers. Artillery same thing. It took six months to get the first Iraq war set up. Ukraine doesn't have that much time.

My idea is not to send Ukraine weapons, but to sent Russia missiles. :)

Lots and lots of missiles.

In the 80's we had 300k army people in Germany - by the time I got to europe, we had less than 100k of All forces.
Its a shame that Ukraine didn't have 50 Warthogs, that would have taken out those convoys...

Just what I thought when I saw the pics of that stalled 40-mile-long convoy. Does the Ukraine even have an air force? The Germans have Tornado GR-1's...And that German chancellor must know Germany would be high on Putin's list... :(

A little paint, some blue & yellow flags, and presto! Ukraine Air Force! :)

I am really irritated by how the media is ignoring this invasion of the Ukraine. The three major national networks here have downplayed coverage/reporting of Putin's aggression and atrocities. Same with Fox news. CNN is the only one reporting on it as it happens and not leading newscasts with coverage of lost cats and celebrity hosting of award shows. Even my local town newspaper did not announce news of the invasion for three days, and then only on pages 5/6 to paraphrase news releases of US politicians regarding Putin and his relations with US presidents going back to Clinton in 2000.

Putin is the new Hitler and no one in the media notices???

I think the convoy was purposely sent there in order to provoke a NATO duck hunt.

If NATO had taken the bait, Putin would have successfully triggered a global war.

Vlim, excellent point! I do think we are seeing the somewhat poor performance of the Russian military.

I think that stalled convoy was supposed to have been a heavy strike force and ran out of gas when they found the diesel had been sold on the black market. But Vlim has a valid alternate theory

We need to keep our nose out of it, period, and stop sending money that we desperately need to fix our own problems. We are NOT the policemen of the world.

If no one steps up to be the policeman, you get Adolf Hitler.

I guess the Ukrainians are passing out any P-38's and Lugers they may still have had in storage.
Along with anything else that can shoot.

The Military Industrial Complex is dying to get us into another war, to make a bunch of money, and to kill and maim for life our young men. Notice how the men that get sent to war are rarely ever the sons of the rich or powerful, just the poor and middle class. We just got out of 20 years of conflict, let's get into another and make some more big bucks!!!
