There will always be those who collaborate with the enemy if it makes their lives easier. They are unwilling to accept life as it would be if they refused to associate with invaders. Over the course of history, there have been times when the enemy stayed long enough to assimilate with the natives and become for all intents and purposes the same. In WW2 France and other countries occupied by the Germans, the suppression of the people and harsh treatment kept the hatred strong and when the Germans were evicted, those who had collaborated paid the piper... as they should have.

There seemed to be a lot more "partisans" after the Germans were gone.

Only about 3% to 5% of the population were actually in "The Resistance"
But it is easy to attack women - ask the Taliban

Unless you mean by "consistency" that winners always rid themselves of those who disagree with them.

When I clicked on the website yesterday I got to see one picture. When I ask to continue my computer went bonkers. My speakers started blasting an alarm and the screen was filled with dire warnings. I clicked on the site just now and i was shown a quiz about animals.

This is who you need!

A couple days ago, I was surfing the news online and got a fake "microsoft" hack warning that locked my screen and gave me an audio warning that my IP address had been hacked. I immediately physically disconnected my internet cable, and forced a shutdown of my computer, as that was what the warning said NOT to do. As I am positive that the REAL Microsoft would never generate that type of a warning/situation, I immediately knew it was fake, and I wasn't about to call the phone number they wanted me to call and follow a hackers instructions. Best bet is to shutdown and /or disconnect when these things happen. My computer seems to work just fine after all that.

Kind of a puerile subject that is not going to bring about a very productive discussion. Anyone into history and social aspects should be pretty well versed in this.
We've all seen the countless photos of head shavings and beatings many, many, times.
Just my personal opinion.

Consistency.

If "we" justify the use of torture against the enemy, then we should not whine or complain if "they" use it against us.

If we say "we" should take revenge against the collaborators, we should not whine and complain if others do the same.

Simple.

I tried the site later and it worked without a hitch.

The Nazis overthrew the legitimate government of France. The Nazis were the enemy and those who collaborated with them paid the price when the LEGITIMATE government of France was returned to power. They were traitors but there wasn't widespread murder of them. They were humiliated and became social outcasts. It was appropriate IMO.

The Taliban have overthrown the legitimate government of Afghanistan. The Taliban are the enemy and they, like the Nazis, are carrying out a murderous agenda against any and all who they think may oppose them. I do not approve of what they are doing.

If you can't understand the difference then you and I have nothing further to discuss on this matter. You may have the last word.
