Stadard Luger or P38? Both use 9mm! Or are they both the same?m

Yes

OK, I'll bite.

IMHO:

The standard P08 9mm is more accurate than a 9mm P38. The P08 has closer tolerances, ie less slop or movement and it has a finer sight picture.

That said, I expect about the same level of practical accuracy from both when firing freehanded at standard pistol ranges as intended. If I were to shoot one against the other, the group size would have more to do with my ability, my preference/experience with each ones unique sight picture. They both will getter done. The P38 may allow one to pick up the sight picture quicker, but that again depends on experience, preference and training.

The one that has fired 200 rounds as opposed to the one with 130,000 rounds fired, particularly the high round count included steel rounds.

The one where the bore was kept clean and oiled as opposed to the rusted and pitted bore that was cleaned with steel wool.

The one owned by a precision target shooter as opposed to the drunk with Parkinson's disease.

A lot of variables

I assume barrel length also has allot to do with it with a standard P08s with a standard round~On a Personal Note, I have fired 2 of my lugers, one a P08 shooter and one of my artillery. The Artillery was so much more powerful and accurate. What a kick compared to the regular luger, both used Winchester white box 9mm luger! ammo!!!

For me the P38 is more accurate, I can not see the sights on the P08 anymore.
