Eric, I think we did this before... At risk of being redundant, here are my oldest and newest, to share: M1900 sn 3406, and a stainless 1900/2000.

Very Nice! I just bought two Lugers from an estate today. Both are likely WW II bring backs. One has a holster, loading tool, and extra mag. The chamber date is 1916 and its a DWM. All matching numbers (not mags thought) , some straw, and good bluing......but not as nice as yours! The other, also a DWM, has a chamber date of 1937 and is a bit worn. Some rust and two numbers don't match. But, it has the nicest trigger pull I have seen on a Luger. I will clean it up some, it will be a fun shooter!

Been away from here for a long time. Nice to be back.

Lock and Load!

Luger Update

I found out a little more information on the two Lugers I bought. A friend knew the man that had owned them. He said that the one dated 1916 came back from WW I with that man's grandfather. The other dated 1937 came back from WW II from the same man's father. You would think the family would want to keep them but there was no interest there. Well, it was good for me!

Lock and Load! :D

In 1937 DWM did not make lugers. In 1937 lugers were made by Mauser and coded S42. Somewhere along the line a part was changed. I would guess here in the States. Should make a good shooter if all parts fit correctly. Enjoy!!! Bill

I focused on prewar 1913, only one is unit marked. This was the beginning of stock lugs on one and not the other two~
