Here is the other Luger I just acquired...

It looks like a nice, honest 1939 Code 42 WW II era P.08. If anyone wants to see any other views, just ask....

Newbie question, what would one rate the finish on this pistol? 80%?

Dwight Gruber 11-10-2004 09:27 PM

Alfred,

Depends on what the grip straps look like.

John,

What do the grip straps look like?

Ask and ye shall receive... Boy,I never state finish in percentage. As soon as I say a particular gun is, say 91%, someone will come back with, "I think it is 90%".... So I post good photos and everyone can make up their own mind!

Actually, this old P.08 shows mostly honest holster wear.....

John, I would say 89 and 15/16%. Nice pistol. I would'nt pass it up.

However I suddenly find myself with 4 Nazi proof Hi Powers, 2 Lugers and other assorted goodies! You know that the most dangerous thing in the world is a sailor with money in his dungarees and time on his hands!!!!

I have a rotating display with various military handguns...

John,

I'm sure you've been asked this before, but I don't recall the answer, so please forgive, but what sort of lighting do you use?

John Holbrook 01-01-2005 03:39 PM

Norm, here is the info on the other Luger...
