1st Issue Military Manual

Hello all,

Recently posted this over on the Still forum, but thought I would share here as well.

I had the good fortune to pick up one of the more rare pieces of Luger ephemera: an original "Pistole 08" manual from 1909. This one comes complete with all three updates from 1910, 1913, and 1914.

The manual is still on its way to me, so for now, here are the seller's photos. Will try to get more detailed ones once it arrives.

If anyone else has any rare and interesting manuals, let's see 'em!

Hi Brandon
Here's another early one, the Artillery manual dated 1914. The illustrations are real photos that are glued in.

And here are a couple of late ones, the Stoeger U.S. version, in English, and the very rare Norwegian version.

Here are a few that I've been fortunate enough to come upon: a P08 manual, an LP08 manual and a Reichsbank manual for the PP and PPK.

Gentlemen,

Any time either of you post photos I am always impressed. You give guys like me something to aspire to.

Definitely want to pick up an LP08 manual and a military P04 manual, but that may be dreaming a little too big.

Brandon, you've made a damn good start.

Only two real obstacles to getting any of these as I see it. Finding one that is even for sale, then coming up with the wheelbarrow of cash. If you can overcome those..it's yours!

Regimental histories are even harder to find, particularly if you're trying to match a gun. This one was just $35.00 on Ebay with no other bidders!

I have picked them up when I can - had an early 1900, but sold that to a friend.
The tan ones, the bottom one was bought from Kenyon and is not as nice as the one I just got.

The red ones are stoeger, the reddish ones I can never remember.

I have a 1953 and a 1949 Norwegian.

Then an earlier police (?) manual and the WW2 newspaper manual.
