Oh my god!!! Look at this!

The really sad thing is that people ar actually bidding on it! He makes it out like this was done at the Mauser factory. Skirting the fine line of false advertising. IRON CROSS LUGER

Hey, I was the guy who made the first bid, $5.00. That's about all it's worth. <img src="graemlins/icon107.gif" border="0" alt="[icon107]" />

Amazing! Ever notice how many of the bidders on these high priced items have NR. They have no history of purchases in the past. Curious?

You folks are missing a bet here; I believe this was Hermann Goering's custom left-handed luger.

Orv Reichert 07-22-2002 11:10 PM

Hermann Goering wore a Smith and Wesson Model 10 .38Spl in a really ugly full flap holster. It is now at the West Point Museum, I am told.

Not much for 'class'....eh?

These Lugers were advertized in The American Rifleman Jan 2001. If you have a copy take a look. They were produced by The American Historical Foundation in Richmond VA and sold for $2995.00
Orv, that correct the Smith is in The West Point Museum. I know a man who was present at Goring's surrender, told me the story of it.

Actually, I think that Goering's surrender pistol was a Mdl 10 S&W chambered in .357 caliber. Could be wrong.
