C-96 firing pin

I recently posted about a C-96 I have that was piercing some primers. I've since gotten a new firing pin for the pistol, and want to know if it can be replaced by simply pressing in with a screwdriver the old pin and installing the new one without full disassembly. I've had 2 C-96's apart before and don't relish the idea of fully disassembly. Thanks!

Hi

C-96s have very interesting mechanicals.

Your problem may just be a weak firing pin spring, as mine was, that needs replacing.

Watch out for modern "hot" ammo, as this pistol was NOT designed to handle it.

Respectfully,

Sieger

Yes.
I think I posted about the spring on the tip of the firing pin, did you get a new one with this pin?

If it has no spring , do not shoot it.

Spring

Yes, the firing pin came with the spring attached. (Numrich gun parts) Thank you all for your replies. Mike:bigbye:
