Erfurt Loading Tool Markings

Fellow collectors,
I am in the process of purchasing an Erfurt loading tool and the gentleman ( a well regarded seller) informed me that it has what appeared to be unit markings of “10.7. “ in addition to the gothic symbol which he couldn’t quite make out. Would this be an Imperial unit or a Weimar police unit markings?
Once I have the tool in hand I can post pictures.

Thank you,
Ricardo

It is a Police unit marking according a 1922 dated order (D.V.D. 208a)

Klaus,
Thank you for your reply. I suspected that was the case. Would you happen to know which police unit?
I should have the tool in hand within a couple of days and I will post it.

Regards,
Ricardo

Gentlemen,
Attached are fotos of my new Erfurt Luger tool (on right) and my old Luger Tool. I believe that the markings on my new tool are crown over V but I don't know what the unit markings on the reverse are other than that Klaus identified them as belonging to a police unit. Any additional info would be appreciated. Would the new tool be correct for my recently acquired 1913 Erfurt and is a tool with unit markings considered rare or are they quite often encountered?

Thank you,
Ricardo

they are not "rare", but not common either.
The numbers- could be police- and could belong to many different units; the two numbers do not specifically identify where or who- I guess they could even be an army unit.

Don,
Thank you. Looking further at the proof mark and comparing it to the pictures in the paper by Klaus and Dave Lindsay, I believe that it looks more like a C/ F instead of a C/V. However, C/F is not listed as one of the proofs assigned by Erfurt so I am a bit confused. It appears to have the shape of an Erfurt tool and is in the white from the little that I know of the tool variations. Am I correct in saying that the tool on the right is from Erfurt and does the proof look like a C/F to you?

Hi Ricardo,
To me your tool looks like what collectors call "Erfurt 4 lobe crown/V". If you want to be sure, clean out that white crap and post a decent photo.

Norme,
Thank you for posting a clear foto of your tool. Upon closer inspection, the mark on your tool looks like the one on mine.
My attempt to highlight the proof mark on my tool with talcum powder combined with my non existent photography skills obviously aren’t of much use.

Ricardo
