Luger 3 of 4 from Lugermom

Hi all, again—how did I do? Thanks in advance!
This is a 1939 Luger, serial # 5121W. All numbers match, including the magazine although I’m a bit worried that the magazine doesn’t have the + sign as in the 1939 example in Tharpo’s pictures. The number 42 on top indicates that the pistol is a Mauser—as do the proof markings on the side and barrel. (anything else I need to know about them? I can check the FAQ for more.) The magazine sleeve is unmarked, which I think is consistent with the age? Left grip has the million-dollar chip. Right grip is a bit loose but not chipped, and fits. As with all my pistols, this one bears the import marks from when it was recently brought in from Canada: Germany, DWM P08, 9mm, and BV Lynden WA, (the code, city and state of the importer.) Should I go back through the FAQ for additional information? And of course, what do you think it’s worth? :^) |
The plus sign indicates a spare magazine for the pistol, which means you likely have one of the original magazines to the pistol as is.

To me this one is similar to the last one but with the smallish chip and a matching magazine. A good honest gun with some use but not abuse and with the common thin bluing. I'd try to squeeze an extra $250 or $300 out of it on the basis of the matching mag.
