“Transparent Image Representation and Description” of the MG-151 aircraft autocannon.
Although not small Arms related, I think interesting showing this Mauser document, dated 1942, available in the Paul Mauser Archive, just to show his quality. For this reason, a short video was shot and I would like to thanks Skilled Shot and Marc Erickson for the collaboration.
The MG-151 is an aircraft-mounted auto cannon designed and produced by Waffenfabrik Mauser starting in 1940. Available in 15mm and 20mm calibres. It was widely used on German Luftwaffe fighters like the Messerschmidt BF 109. This exceptional document, in perfect condition, contains 25 transparent slides and two pages of description. The document is available on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/PaulMauserArchive/ And also YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FR6v...h6J3Oy5teDayVo Greetings, Mauro |
This Mauser designed and made 15mm and 20mm mounted aircraft cannon is interesting in part because it was used by so many different government's air defense forces after WW-II ended.
The documented presented from the archives is in pristine condition. The pages, which resemble two side printed animation cels, are made from a particularly stable clear plastic sheet material. |
Nice stuff. I have a similar display dating from 1979, the introduction of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class. This technique cettainly had a long life span.
I wonder if these project well using an overhead projector? Few years ago I got a Mauser MG 151 crate that once held test firing ammunition and recently we found a bunch of parts of the test firing rig. |
