Unit Marking O. 3673
I have a mismatch luger and the frame is marked with O. 3673 on the front grip strap. Can anyone tell me what this means?
|
Hi Floyd,
It's a Weimar Navy mark. O stands for Ostsee (the Baltic) and 3673 is the weapon number. Norm |
Norm, not to hijack this thread, but is a Weimar Navy unit mark a harder one to find as far as unit marked guns go? Thanks!

Hi Mike,
Neither the Ostsee mark (usually applied to the front grip strap) or the Nordsee mark (usually applied to the rear) are particularly rare, but they add significant value to a Weimar or early Third Reich Luger. They identify them as Naval property. Regards, Norm |
Luger frame marking.
Norme,
Thanks so much for the information. I'am ashamed that it took so long for me to responded. Floyd |
