Uberti Schofield 44-40, 3.5" barrel with custom grips
|
I have always liked these, very nice Bill
|
Yes, really cool.
I like them too, your "short" Schofield would make a great carry piece. JMHO. |
Neat toy! I like it!

Very nice! I have a 5” Uberti Schofield in .45 Colt. I haven’t had much luck with in fast draw even though it’s almost the exact same length as my 4 3/4” SAA.

Beautiful looking piece. Is it only single action or is it double/single?
|
Bill, Is it smokeless or black powder load cartridge?
|
It is single action , smokeless powder. Bill

An old design, but will still get the job done if called upon. Nice piece!!

Dallas Stoudenmire used a couple of these Schofields, probably with longer barrels, in the "four dead in 5 seconds" gunfight in Dallas, Texas. I'm sure it would still do OK today.
On another note, just picked this one up from a customer. A fairly nice post war 38/44 Heavy Duty 5" barrel. Put a small ding in my "next luger fund". |
I have several Uberti reproductions, they are well built and are a pleasure to shoot. After seeing this post it made me think "what if Uberti reproduced Lugers?"
