Is there any love for the Finnish Lugers?

One of my customers has a Finnish M/23 Luger that he wants me to sell on consignment, it appears to be all correct with original .30 cal barrel, dull black finish (which I believe is correct?), SA stamp etc, but import stamped under the barrel. I have tried it on Gunbroker for $1500 without any luck, so what do these guns bring when they come up for sale? It's a really cool piece and probably quite scarce so I'm thinking about making him an offer on it, but I have no clue what it's worth. Any ideas?

I like them (sold one a few years back) but only with the 120mm/4 3/4" barrel and 'square' Finnish sights. That would justify the $1500 price, IMO. :)

The 30 cal is a turn-off, again IMO.

Yeah, I prefer 9mm too. The .30 caliber is not all that great if you want to shoot, but after all it's the original barrel. I guess it all depends on if the gun is seen as a collectible or a shooter.

I would say $1200 max - because its import marked and in 30 luger

- you expect import, but the SA and the rear marking is cool.

- I personally love the 5 inch and Tika marked barrel

I'm actually surprised that they're not more sought after than that, it's a legit Luger variation and it ought to be pretty scarce as well. In any case, that might be good for me if I make an offer on it. :)

They are nice guns, but still not that expensive. I bought a .30 luger version a couple of years ago for about $700 at auction.

My shooter has Finnish grips, they help when cleaning/oiling as I don’t have to worry about staining the grips like I do the wooden ones. The checkering on them is still very sharp too.

A picture of mine. Came from Joop van de Kant's collection.

I display it with a Finnish holster with stock.
It was used at the reserve officers school. Probably the reason it remained a .30 luger version and was not altered to 9mm.
