Rise in price of Erfurts?

Purely an anecdotal observation on my part (meaning, I haven't done a scientific sampling and run the stats): seems like Erfurt prices going up and are now equaling, if not sometimes exceeding, comparable DWM prices.

In the past it always seemed like the Erfurts were regarded as being cruder finished products than DWMs, which mi9ght have explained the price differential.

Anyone else notice such?

I believe I've noticed the same thing; they should command a slightly higher price, as not so many Erfurt Lugers were made as by DWM. JMHO.

I have only been looking at Lugers for a few years now but have noticed the same.

Reviving this thread.

IF asking prices on Gunbroker are any sort of a market barometer, Erfurt prices seem to be staying above $1,000 to start, even for mediocre condition.

An interesting new trend of sorts seems to be the substantial rise in price for the 1970s production Mauser lugers. Asking prices to start now appear to be in the mid-teens for the common Swiss pattern.

As before, just anecdotal observations, no hard stats. Kinda curious.
