They are listed on GunsAmerica.

DWM. 30 Cal. Black checkered grips. Grip Safety. This is the original model for the classic Luger form/toggle. Local gunsmith says they are in very good condition - good shooters. Believe all part #s match on each pistol. Clean bore and Grips. No wear evident. Purchased in the late 1950s from "Walton Collection". These are absolutely beautiful display pieces.

I guess the seller is fishing for the "big-mouth sucker"...

Edward Tinker 10-16-2004 01:55 PM

So, who was the "Walton Collection"?

Pete Ebbink 10-16-2004 05:44 PM

Ray Walton...???

These pistols must be Martian space loogers... :p

John Sabato 10-18-2004 09:33 AM

Maybe John-boy Walton? :D (Just jokin')

thegundude 12-20-2005 10:19 PM

You know what? These bad boys are STILL FOR SALE!!! :D

I'm shocked. Just shocked... If I hadn't just filled up my gas tank I'd buy these pimpin' suckas right now. And a big furry, lime green fedora with a peacock feather stickin' out...

:)

So it's been well over a year since this came up... At least he's patient.

Wes, you know you want them, you just want us to talk you out of it.

Merry Christmas friend.

I am thinking of making a belt buckle of them. Big Texan style. I have not decided to have each pointing toward the other or pointing opposite.

Ron Wood 12-22-2005 03:26 PM

Wes,
They would make lovely door handles for your pickup.

GA has no rigid mechanism for removing outdated ads. If an item is sold but the seller doesn't remove the ad, it might stay there for years.

Regarding the Bazillian guns:

"This is the original model for the classic Luger form/toggle."

Is he talking about the transition from dished to non-dished toggle knobs?

thegundude 12-22-2005 11:46 PM

Ponyman, I think what the seller was trying to say was "blah, blah, yadda, yadda, blah. Please buy these ruined guns for far too much money, yadda, blah, blah..." Or something like that...

And I certainly hope that no one bought them, at least not at that price. Though they would make lovely door handles on a Chevy Stepside... :)

Ponyman 12-23-2005 04:18 PM

"lovely door handles on a Chevy Stepside..."

with remote trigger-studs on the steering wheel? (:-)

Both pointing forward, or one fore and one aft?

I am a ardent advocate of the "trophy" Lugers that were brought back by the American WWII vet and which were nickel plated as a medal to themselves or their innocence lost.

But a chrome Argentine is a disconnect to anything. And quite a leap to what!?

Ron Wood 12-23-2005 05:28 PM

A leap to making a sow's ear out of a silk purse.
