Early Commercial P08 Holster
9 Attachment(s)
I bought this on Ebay and sent it off to Jerry for a little cosmetic work. The master replaced the damaged leather covering of the buckle and replaced one of the belt straps. The interior markings are something I have never seen before.

Sweet holster. I too have never seen commercial holsters of that era with maker/dealer marks, but my experience is much more limited than yours. Replacing the leather on that buckle is a daunting task. Jerry truly is a master craftsman.

I do not think that the Hupe stamp is a dealer but more likely an owner stamp.
I have a prebble grain holster of the same kind with a small marker stamp of AKaH |
I think Klaus may be correct...after looking closer, it is a bicycle shop and not likely to be the purveyor of holsters.

I checked the 1914 Rangliste and found one Hauptman Hupe in the 168th Infantry Regiment. Maybe the shop keeper's son made good.

Inf. Reg 168 was a Hessen Regiment and stationed in Offenbach and Butzbach. I can not read the stamp inside the holster but there will be a City with it. May be that is a hint
