Magazine for sale on castboolit

I was just on the castboolit forum and saw a early Luger magazine for sale. The magazine had the wooden base. It is on bid and the bidding was up to 12 bucks.

Assuming you want some feed-back it would be helpfull to post a link to the sale.

Just viewed it over there, simple to find; a few seconds really.

Price might be out of line a little, but just an opinion.

The serial number of the magazine is 2944.

I guess I'm missing the point of this post- what do you want to know?

I think he's just telling folks there is a wood based mag on some website I have never heard of...

Ooh! It's a Forum Auction! :)

Base looks loose...Pretty rusty...Grain direction on base looks odd...besides being unstamped...

Thanks.
I do believe $12 may be too much already, at least for me. ;)

Anyone know what the round circular markings are on the spine base?

ithacaartist 07-02-2018 06:23 PM

The "2944" is scratched onto the mag body in old-timey or European style. No view of the crimp style at the top, or if it's spot welded along the side ribs. My money's on a old aftermarket...

Ummm...Assuming the mag markings are upside-down in relation to how it's used, I see an 'M', a '9' inside a circle, and a 'KK' or possibly a 'KR' in a circle...Might be other marks but even with the pic 'negitized' I can't make any more out...

...And none of it makes any sense to me... :p
