Debby & Eric Will Never Move Again`

Albeit cross country or across the street! Finally unpacked 21 lugers, leather, holster ammo and a ton of luger books!luger books. Of course I could't find the carbine as Debby hid it with her and forgot to tell me! I did perfect the luger transfer in our Florida oven! Get 20 white cotton socks. And gallon wrapped in each and each in a gallon ziplock. Pack them in a blue, not clear Rubbermade and duck tale all edges. with a black magic marker write 'sewing Machine. The same with any valuables! God looked out for me again! Lugers are my children and even loss of one if heartbreaking. I must thank Ed my other hero from the two luger sites up and running to the computer mess! Luv Ya Eric I'm back, Luv Ya!

I hear that, Terry and I are never moving again, We did move cross country and they can roll my fat carcass to the ambulance or hole in the ground adjacent to our house :D

You guys are lightweights! Ellie and I move twice a year...

Eric,
I frequently remark that my next home will be made of pine with a sod roof. But I suspect (hope) that there may be a transitional relocation. Glad you managed your move intact.
Ron

For the last 4 days and nights I searched for my 1902 Fat Barrel. Missing since our move!I even prayed to St Jude, patron Saint of lost causes Because of my dementia I put it where I thought I would't lose it In a cotton sock and zip lock. All were supposed to be in the reliable . Somehow it slipped behing the conforter cussion! III freaked!!Today Debby sat down until unpacked and herR Italian butt like a luger detector scored. After some Italian curse words I thanked every saint I blame it on my mental illness! Have you ever lost a luger for some time? My new medication seems to be helping! Eric God Bless!

Eric,
It seems like the third (forth?) time you have misplaced a Luger involving a chair, either under or in.
There is a lesson here...guns and chairs don't mix. :) Putting something where you think you won't lose it isn't a random decision. Keep the collection together in an organized fashion.
Ron

I lost track of my two 1" micrometers for a couple years, because I put them where they'd be 'safe'. I finally found them a couple weeks ago, in a nice wooden box that I was thinking of putting on the For Sale forum. Had a couple other nice tools in it, too...

You're right Eric I hate removals too.
We moved to here where we live now about 10 years ago.
The other day Olga said something like what is keeping us here after all, we could live in Tuscany at the seaside all the year if we want, and in fact she's right but I simply hate removals in general.

All the best my friend.

I have always wanted to visit Tuscany! Debbys' parents are from Sarugusa spelling! She speaks perfect Italian from her parents.I visited Venice but to tourist! Tuffles!

I moved in 1972, then in 1978, then in 1988. I still have boxes from the 1978 move that have not been opened. Then I found antiques 2 years ago - a box of cloth diapers from when our kids were babies. Also, it took me a couple years to find a couple of firearms from that move.

I actually need a smaller house as this one is too big to keep dusted. I have a son (who is picky) and his wife coming into town on 5/30 and I am dusting a bunch of rooms.

But to move to a smaller house, all of my stuff would not fit.

We moved from Utah to Northern California in 1969, from Northern California to Los Angeles in 1983, from Los Angeles to the coast of Connecticut in 1986, from Connecticut to London England in 1994 and from London to Phoenix in 1996. Did not lose or break anything in all the moves, but I am never packing up again. I'm like Ed, bury me but please don't ask me to move again.
Lyn
