Want to shoot

Getting ready to test my Commercial Luger, so far I have replaced the take down lever spring(old one bad), hold open latch spring(old one broken), new grips(old ones broken), and magazine dent removal and clean up with new wood bases,
The gun seams to function fine with one exception, the safety. it seems that with the safety on and the trigger pulled it works until the trigger is released then it releases the firing pin.
I'm thinking the trigger bar and the safety bar both these parts appear to have lots of wear. the rest of the guns appears to be in very good condition
I am considering putting new wolf springs in it as well.
I'm looking for some advise on where to look for the safety malfunction don't want to run ammo thru this very cool gun until it is safe to shoot

It sounds like either not enough overlap of the FP and trigger bar (sear) or a weak trigger bar spring. TH

Check the sear engagement with some machinist's ink or magic marker.

Bob, You should be able to bend your present sear spring to provide addition pressure to trigger bar. Tom PS: I also have new ones in stock @$20 postpaid.
