Mag Failure

3 Attachment(s)
I have an issue with a magazine which came with my 1916 DWM. (Non-matching mag.) The "button" which rides with the follower separated. It looks to me as though it had been threaded into the follower , and the threaded portion of the stud sheared off. Metal fatigue , I suppose. On the up side , I learned that the button interacts with the hold open lever.

Questions :

Is this a repairable situation?
If yes , then how would one go about the repair?
Is this particular magazine worth repairing? It is generally in good condition , nickel plated , I think (?) , and feeds just fine.

Have a look at the images and let me know what you think... 'Ski

Yes and Yes, to repairable and is it worth it.

I suggest you send it to GT , member of these boards- he specializes in mag repair.

SKI, I doubt that your follower button was screwed in, as the only ones with that feature were pre-1900 without the later tube without a hole in the left side, for punching out the normal button that you have, which were staked in. TH

G.T. fixed my warped mag with a 'wet spaghetti' spring. Now it is as good as new.
