Photo Analysis Help...?

Would one of you folks that are handy with photo editing and enhancement software take a look at the enclosed jgep and let me know if the polished safety area is polished (or possibly re-blued...)...? Luger is a M1900 AE...non Test piece...

Thanks so much for your help...

Pete,
It was polished at one time, you can tell by the chamfer around the polished area. The gun was either reblued or someone thought the polish should be blued and touched it up with cold blue. It was done some time ago since you can see the "track" of the thumb safety is worn bright.
(jgep? I thought I was dyslexic!)

Pete, look at the ramp rim just forward of the safety, the small dings and a pit there appear to have been blued over at some time. If you have it in your possession remove the grips and you should find more pits, if they are blue inside and not rusty it a sure tipoff.
