Not a Luger, but still pretty cool! It was refinished at some point, and rechambered to 9mm. Needs a new recoil spring and then its off to the range! :D

I can see why. Its so different when compared to other handguns, it has a rich history, and the lockwork is an outstanding piece of engineering! I should have added one of these to my collection years ago. :)

I'll have to find a decent stock to complement my new addition.

I have never seen a nickel plated C96 before. Interesting looking. They do have a lot of Broomhandles for sale!

I use to collect C96s, here practically there is no market/request for them, nonetheless their prices remain very high, who owns a gun like that generally doesn't put it on sale.

I only collect Broomhandle Machine Pistols nowadays. Expensive guns. But all fully transferrable MGs are expensive in the US regardless of gun type, broomhandle MG is not unique in this aspect. Luckily, there are not many variations, and there are not many registered decent ones in the US, so still can be handled. 99.9% of time is waiting time. Of course, there are some expensive trash in MG domain too, need to be very careful at acquisition time.

I don't think I could afford such an expensive hobby, would require way too much overtime! :eek: Alvin, do you shoot these machine pistols?

Sergio, I can see why someone would be hard pressed to part with a broomhandle. They have a certain charm to them. I think it was J.B. Woods who referred to it as the 'Mauser Mystique'

I'll have to start hunting for a fitting decent stock soon.

I've got one of those broomhandle imported from China in the 80s. very worn, nothing matches, bored to a 9mm. I've shot it about 30 times, amazingly it works well.
like a lot of others it's a gun I've always wanted. During the sandyhook panic I put a AK47 up for trade and got a response. The guy with the broomhandle thought I was nuts to trade and asked a few times if I was serious. I only had about 250 into the AK (Lots of horse trading) and i didnt want the hassle of selli g the AK, then hunting up a broomhandle, besides once I get cash in my hands I have a hard time letting it go.
So we traded, next day my old AK is on backpage for $1250 which didn't matter to me. I still have my Mauser. jim

The new spring from Lugerdoc worked marvelously! 20 rounds with no jams! Time to find a suitable stock. :D

I collected broomhandles for I think four years, what put me off was that to "get something better" at a certain point I had to sell something else, and there was nooooo way of finding a buyer, so in the end I decided to trade them all, I had only six of them, but when I managed to sell/trade the last one I simply felt relieved.
