I just want your guys opinion on this rig. As you know I am new to Lugers and learning much as I can about them every day. My main focus has been Imperial and Weimar police models but this one also strikes me as interesting. It appears to be in very good condition with correct magazines, tool, and holster. The seller is offering it to me for $2000. Your comments are appreciated.

Thanks,
Eric

From the photos it looks pretty squared away to me. Other opinions may differ.

Looks like a good one to me! Price is in the ballpark.

Hi Eric,
That rig looks very cheap to me, the SE/135 tool alone sells for $300.00 nowadays. I think you should jump on it.
Regards, Norm

Golly, that is a pleasant surprise. I've got one of those little puppies. :D

Good price and nice holster, in my amateur opinion !

Thanks. Anyone else care to comment? The owner wants to do the transfer tomorrow. I'm really on the fence about this one.

It's not a "steal" but is good quality stuff. If you only want a bargain, let it go, but if you want a good piece, then jump on it.
But waive $1800 under his nose first...

it's customary to ask for 3-day inspection period.

I honestly think that's a pretty good bargin to a collector. If the holster is worth close to 300, the pistol is about 1700, which imo is a fine price. Not a steal, but a fair and acceptable price. If you offer him say 1800 and he says 1900 or 1915, you're getting an additional 75 to 100 bucks off, meaning you could be getting that firearm for 1600 to 1615. That's honestly pretty good, and cheaper than what I paid for my byf 41 rig 5 years ago

More important make sure the panels being genuine and original. No need to stuck on $100, $150. In longer term, if you trade these things in future, it's easy to earn thousands dollars out of these guns. Of course, in inflated dollars though.

If you are "on the fence" on this one maybe you should consider collecting Glocks instead.

Sorry. Couldn't help it. The voices in my head made me write that.:p

Like others who have commented, I would say "Jump on it." Holster, tool and condition of pistol make this a nice investment, in my opinion. I also agree that you should offer a lower price to start with. All the seller can say is NO but you may come out ahead. Nic rig, indeed.
