The PC Police Strike Again

I just read that the Minneapolis Militaria show promoters have sent all vendors notice that no Nazi items will be permitted. Three years ago they came for the Confederate battle flags now they're coming for the Hakenkreuz. What's next?

I am fed up to my ears with politically correct everything!!! :banghead: Why can't people just focus on truly important issues??

Those that forget history are doomed to repeat it...

A young man came to our shared booth a couple of weeks ago in Greensboro. I asked him if he'd like to look at anything, and he behaved a bit oddly, rather suppressed.

Eventually, he asked me if the flag on an adjoining table was a "Nazi" thing? He whispered it so quietly that I had to ask him to repeat it.

I told him, "you know what that really is? That is a war trophy, brought home by a heroic soldier that won his battles and brought this home so that he would never forget the struggle that he helped win."

That seemed to satisfy him, and he was all attention while I showed him how to assemble and disassemble a Luger at our table...

What's sad here in Georgia, there are talks on trying go about removing the civil war images on the side of Stone Mountain. At some point there has to be a line drawn and make that stand. We have our history and they are trying to erase what happened. Not cool at all!

It is bad enough that all the snowflakes out there get offended by everything and cry, whine and riot to get their way. Its worse when the politicians cave in to their demands.

I just don't get this tear down historical monuments because somebody got offended. Those statues represent history and art work. You don't have to agree with history or art work. If you don't like it, just walk away. But, you don't have to destroy what you don't like or disagree with. Grow up. :biggulp:

The vendors need to boycott and refuse to attend until it changes.

I still don't know/understand what a "snowflake" is?
Second time in a week I've heard it- must be code for something?

I think it translates to Wimpy spoiled young people that have to have a safe space
in college if someone offends them. Oh and then it has to be changed to suit them.

Steamboat Springs Colorado has a subdivision where all the streets are named after … wait for it … Steamboats! Specifically famous Mississippi River ones.

One of the streets is Robert E. Lee lane, so naturally there is a movement to rename it. I was there on vacation recently and came across this, detailing some of the consequences of renaming a street.

A unique special delicate liberal-minded millennial who melts down at the slightest bit of heat - like not recognizing they are unique and special and deserving of a trophy, and who have an absolute right to not be offended.
A synonym would be "a crying *****."
Edit : apparently vernacular references to female genitalia are to be avoided, so use your imagination to substitue the stars, Don. ;)

The true pity is that by trying to erase history, the snowflakes will be destined to repeat it before they all melt away.

We have a military collector oriented firearms show in Raleigh this weekend. Hopefully all eras will be properly represented.
