Harvey Victims

Howdy,
I live in Houston but am very fortunate that I have been high and dry. Unfortunately, many of our Forum friends many not have been so blessed.
We have many members that live in Houston, East Texas and Louisiana that were in the direct path and subsequent flooding from the storm.
How can we help our Forum friends. We can pray for them. If we know who needs help we can offer a hand.

My Alma Mater kicked in.
Perdue Farms
Perdue Farms has committed a minimum of 1 million pounds of protein to support Hurricane Harvey relief efforts in southeastern Texas. Rescue efforts are also under way for pets and animals, and Perdue has donated nearly 68,000 pounds of its Spot Farms brand dehydrated dog food to Feeding America.
In addition, the Houston Independent School District will receive 500,000 pounds of protein to assist feed victims and first responders through a network of nine feeding center in surrounding communities.

Dick, glad you weathered it well. Hopefully no other members were hit, MY brother in law is in the Woodlands and it just got wet roads, but house okay, but I would imagine some folks got hit....

Geo, nice to hear about Perdue!

My daughter lives in Houston near Lake Houston. Their house is about 3 feet higher than the street. The water was about 1 foot lower than the house, so they lucked out.

Their section of the subdivision was higher than the surrounding area so they could not go anyplace.

Asked her if the grandkids played in the water and she said no as it had too many chemicals in it.

Live in a gated community in Pearland. Stuck on the south side of Houston. We have
614 houses and none flooded. Got 62'' of rain but it never got close to a house. Thank
God for keeping us safe. Hope all of those that did ,make it through this with no problems and they can rebuild their lives.
Plenty of prayers for Florida.

Paul
