August Bruning left Germany at the right time before the war! He had relatives in Hastings On The Hudson, NY. They all chipped in and He opened a candy and ice creme store. All hand made! He had arms of steel from hand churching every ones' favorite, strawberry when in season!

Its like making butter. The whole milk cream is in a churn filled surrounded with salt and ice. The cream with flavoring or fruit becomes harden into 'ice cream! Lots Of Work!
