Which WW2 German rifle had the removable locking lugs?

I can't seem to recall the designation. It shot 8mm Kurz, and failed so often that many shooters were left with a scar on their faces from the failures. Gewehr something...
Thanks!

You may be thinking of the Volksturmgewehr, which was a cheap, sheet metal last ditch weapon, which had its share of failures.

The G98/40, which is actually a Hungarian M-35, produced under German occupation. It has the 2 piece Mannlicher bolt with removeable bolt head/lugs. But this was in 8mm Mauser, not Kurz, and was very reliable.
