Norm's Rarities, #5.
5 Attachment(s)
Although my main interest is in Imperial Lugers, especially Navies, I do tend to wander off the reservation every once in a while. This weeks rarity is one of the 3,000 or so Mauser Lugers assembled in 1945/46 when Oberndorf was in the French zone of occupation.. Although these guns were assembled from parts on hand, the fit and finish are surprisingly good, well up to Mauser's commercial standards. These guns are very rare here in the U.S., although somewhat more plentiful in France, as you would expect. Perhaps a dozen or so guns were assembled with Artillery barrels making them the rarest of all Artillery variations.
