Matching numbers on 1920 commercial
I have this pistol which has matching numbers on a great many parts, but not all parts are numbered. Un-numbered parts like the safety lever, take down lever, big pin on rear of toggle, etc. Were these pistols numbered like the earlier pistols? As in a number on everything?

Tom, there's a sticky or FAQ addressing this somewhere. Generally speaking, Commercials had the same numbered parts as Military or other contracts, it's just that they were numbered more discreetly--on the bottoms or other not-so-visible areas.

My experience is that the Alphabet Commercials are not numbered on as many parts as the WWI military guns. Unnumbered sear bar, safety bar, hold open, safety lever, grips, firing pin/retainer and magazine come to mind. I don't even have the breech block or front toggle link noted as numbered on mine - will have to check.
