Would there be legal repercussions in shooting an Intearms (1970) Mauser Luger with a 32 round drum attached at an outdoor range in Penna?

Since the un-educated (not a law student), but since I live in Pennsylvania and there is no law against 10 round or higher, then why not. And assuming that Penna is not a pasta or in Italy...

No state law says you can't shoot large capacity in anything - local range rules might prohibit you shooting off like a sub-gun...

LOL... :D ...For those of us that are not old enough to remember times where there were no postal ZIP codes in the USA (that would be pre-1963) -----(I am not among you)... the original "official" abbreviation for Pennsylvania was Penna. Then ZIP codes came along and all states were issued a standard 2-letter abbreviation.


BTW, Ed is essentially correct about the use of the magazine, just don't use a shoulder stock if it is not an Artillery Model, Navy Model or original Carbine... That would be a federal problem unless the gun is on the C&R list and registered with BATFE as an SBR (Short Barreled Rifle). Modern Carbine reproductions are made with 16 inch barrels to avoid the legal hassles...

stock no - since that makes it a SBR (short barrel rifle) - but unless you live in a state that limits number of rounds in a magazine, Penn it is legal. You might get some looks, but no harassment unless you start shooting it pop,pop,pop,pop - in my opinion, but I'm not a lawyer.

And, if you carry it open-carry in Philly, I would think you'd get stopped...

when I am in A+ class I tell the students, google is your friend, I use it all the time...

I have a 12" barrel on a 1918 receiver with a Erfurt block that interchanges with .22cal and a 9mm receivers on a Interarms (Mauser) lower. Do you see a problem with shooting any of these combinations?

If no stock, then no worries

The stock is what makes it a SBR - unless you take a rifle and cut it down.

But your combinations are just different uppers.

In enclosed photo The top barrel is 9mm as is the interarms pistol the barrel below the pistol is 30 Luger and the lower one is .22 cal converson.

A pistol can have any barrel length, so no problem.

Well, as long as they are not .45 caliber smooth bores, then you might have a "shot gun" pistol, which is a no no.

The ones you show above are fine.
