P08 1939 need help
10 Attachment(s)
Hi, I need help. I want to buy this one P08 but there is very much of an issue, not an eagle, part of the weapon as it to restored, maybe you have tips or worth watching. Weapon price of EUR 1000

This pistol has been heavily buffed and refinished. That, along with some of the condition issues would make it a "shooter" in the US and the price you mention would be high in this market for this example. What you have available to you in your market may be different.
By the way. The photos show that the pistol was improperly reassembled. |
While a matching magazine would add more value in the USA for a collectible Luger, I doubt that it helps much for one that has had this kind of refinishing.
The "1939" on the chamber does not look like the factory stamping, and may have been engraved after the original was heavily buffed. It is a Mauser receiver (as seen in the hump). Is the photo of the assembled gun from the left side another Luger? I don't see the hump on that frame... If it functions properly, shoots accurately and is complete it would be worth $1000 but not much more. I agree that Euro 1000 is toward the high end of it's value. |
Appears the 1939 and the toggle 42 are not original. The serial numbers look off also.

This Luger bothers me in this price range. I don't have any idea as to your market and the prices there. This is only a shooter grade Luger, and not the upper end of shooter grade.
