Re: OT/Broomhandle markings
Hi Roadkill,
Roughly, â??Protected by German and other patentsâ?. As an aside, you might want to post C96 questions at: http://www.gunsworld.com/mauser/c96_us.html Best regards, Kyrie Moderator - Cruffler_Forum on Yahoo Groups "The flame free C&R Forum." |
Patent Pending...or similar. (EOM)

Re: OT/Broomhandle markings
D.R.P. = Deutsches Reich Patent (German Empire patent)
u. = und (and) A.P. = Andere Patents (other patents) I hope I spelled the German correctly. Just means that the design is protected under German and other patents. The other patents may be existing or applied for. |
Re: OT/Broomhandle markings
Ron, I agree with most of your translation except the "A". it stands for Ausland (foreign) patents. Tom H.

Re: OT/Broomhandle markings
How about: Deutche Reich Post
|
Re: OT/Broomhandle markings
It is Patent, that I am sure of and can document. I was misinformed about the A but Tom corrected that.
