Nothing so fancy Eric, this was and is my first Luger, 1914 Erfurt - shoots great to this day.

Ed, Lugers are always relevent and unforgettable! The only thing I still own from the eighties and not much of anything! Nice Gun!

Nice George. Mine was Missy! And an S/42 1936 which was stolen from me then returned to me after 26 years. Still have the S/42 but Missy is looong gone!:biggulp:

My first Luger is a 1920 alphabet commercial .30 caliber. The gun has been fun shooting and a valuable learning tool. The pistol was reblued when I bought it. Subsequently I learned about the mechanics of the mechanism and rust bluing. I still enjoy taking it to the range.

Lugers never die, they mearly get past down to their next owner! Timeless Beauty!!

Eric,

Mine was a 1917 DWM Artillery, all matching (ex. mag) with lots of nice finish and straw remaining. However, it is a shooter because someone ground the stock lug off!

Your pics show the grip safety tight to the rear back-strap, is its spring broken?

BYF 41 in 1964 when I was 17.

Almost zero finish, near smooth bore and smooth worn wood grips.
Never saw one so completely worn-even the ones we had in training group.

$25 with holster. A bit high even then.

Mine was a BYF 41 in 1957 when I was 17 (almost 18 :)). It was mint with two matching magazines and a near new holster - $35. That gun is long gone but it was my first Luger.

My first is long gone. I was 16 and was with my buddy and his father at a garage sale. There was a re-blued 7.65 commercial for $75. I wanted it badly, so my friends father bought it for me. It was with me for a while but other interests came up. That was 43 years ago. I've since replaced it with a few others. :-)

That sure wouldn't happen today. Those times are gone.
