It will be interesting to see how well this revision will be received by the shooting public. On another handgun forum, there was a video of this new gun being reviewed/tested by a member. It was NOT a very flattering review as to build quality, and overall function. Time will tell I guess. It has some tough competition out there.

I'm for the old 51. But then again. My interest in semi autos faded after the Sig M49.

PS And I still don't have one.

I wanted one when they first came out, was very disappointed in the bad reviews...

I have not liked any of the 'new' guns either - mostly from looks. Although I do admit I will slap on pachmeyers on guns I like to shoot

I only went as far as adding VoPo grips to both my "shooter" Lugers.

I have regretted very few sales of my firearms in the last 5 decades but I will always regret selling the original Remington 51 in .380 as part trade to acquire my Model 29 S&W in 1970. :(

I have never owned one of the original model 51, but always liked how they look. So many of the older designed handgun.....rifles and shotguns also, just had class!! Tupperware changed that.

I don't have a 51 either. But the general outward look is similar to one pistol that I do have. The Browning designed FN 1910.

I've fired several Glocks. I don't like their looks. But I'm forced to admit they are efficient.:o
