Waffen Reich Darmsedt Ehgravers
A friend of mine has a very ornate engraved Luger. The engraving was done by Waffen Reich Darmstedt in Germany. Does anyone know if they did engraving during the war or post war, Any help would be very appreciated. To contact directly my email is kshawvista@gmail.com

Wow, that sounds very interesting. Can you post some pictures? You will likely better more and better reponses if you do.
|
I will as soon as my daughter transfers them from my phone to my computer.

They appear to be still in business today. Perhaps some of our German speakers can jump in?

John, I am trying to determine if this Luger was presented to someone during the war or done postwar. It has the initials AWT inscribed in silver on the top of the receiver. It is very ornate and has a Red Stag on the grips.

About three generations of the family Reich engraving in Darmstadt. The family originally came from Suhl. I'm sure all engraving accredited to Darmstadt is post war.

Thanks George. Do you think they would still have records of jobs they did?

You can try Google for an address and shoot them a letter. |
I think I will do that. Thank You

Waffen Reich is a gunsmith in Darmstadt. They still exist.
