Can i get a little help on price.

I have a chance to buy a Luger and wanted to get opinions on the price. It is a ww2 bring back with the original paperwork and the leather holster and take down tool plus one magazine. They asking 2100 for it. It is a DWM and has about 95 percent of the original blue. I don't have any pictures. So is it a fair price?

Sounds nice but the price seems high. First of all it's made by a manufacturer who did not make guns after the early 30's, so while it could have been used in WW2 it is not a WW2 gun but probably a WW1 gun or a commercial gun.
The papers are nice, but not worth much in the actual value of the deal.
I'm afraid that without good photos I can't offer much more.

There are far too many variables to be of much help to you without a full description and photos.

Start by taking a look at the site's FAQs...

A few details could make it a $750 shooter or a $2000 collectable gun...

Got a little more info. It's not a DWM its a Mauser. All matching except the clip. Its a byf41. If that helps any.

One thing I can say. That pistol suddenly got at least 20 years younger.

Seriously, what everybody said until now olds true. Without any good pictures any evaluation short of a WAG is impossible.

I agree with the above - although large difference in a DWM to Mauser :)

a byf 41 can easily be worth $2100 if a matching mag and close to it without

Everything depends on if matching, actual condition - no offense but a reblue is half the value - and the extra mag if WW2 is another $100-$150+ and the holster could be a $75 cut down or could be a $300 beauty

Pictures make it real for us to help

It didn't change. I had the info wrong. Just got the right info that is why i updated. I only saw it once before and was going on memory. Sorry about the mix up.

no offense meant, I assumed that the seller had it confused, its common names to us so it seems obvious. :biggulp::cheers:

Dirtpoor

Post some close up, detailed pictures of the pistol and describe it to us in detail. After that maybe we can give you an idea of originality and value. Does it have the original blue finish?

I tryed to post pictures of another gun and it kept saying I was over the limits on bytes

Somewhere on here there is a tutorial on shrinking photos. Try that.
