AEG Drum Loader

I would like the opinion of the forum on this AEG loader. I know the screw is installed from the opposite side from what is considered normal.
Thanks
Ed

Looks just like mine except for the screw.

Hi Ed,
AEG loaders are very rare and desirable and despite the reversed screw yours looks authentic to me. I don't own one of these, but I'm wondering whether your handle is simply installed upside down. Let us know if you have tried reversing it.
Regards, Norm

I'm wondering whether your handle is simply installed upside down. That's a good point but if the handle were turned..the plunger would be backwards?

George, Is the AEG logo on the opposite side of the handle?

It's on the same side as his.

Thank all of you for your replies. I tried flipping the handle upside down and that puts the cartridge pusher backwards. I think when it was made either the hole for the screw was started on the wrong side or when the parts were riveted together something was reversed. I have attached another photo that shows it better than I can explain.
Thanks
Ed

Ed, Yes that would be correct.

Ed, Question..the screw..on Bing loaders the screw inserts into a tubeular sleeve. The sleeve seems to be missing or you don't show it? The handle would be sloppy at the screw end without the screw.

That's IF the AEG loaders had the same sleeve?

The AEG logo is correct on the left side but it's upside down.

Jerry
There is no sleeve on this one, which I think is correct for the AEG Loaders. I have three Bing loaders, one long body and two short body which all have the sleeve in place.
I added a couple of photos to the previous post.
Thanks
Ed

Awww crap!

Hi to all, as the handle is symmetrical it is an easy mistake to make at the factory to rivet the compression attachment on upside down, and rather then toss it, its an Awwww crap! I'll just put the screw in from the opposite side.. I'll bet there's more just like it, although there should be a majority, or correct assembly procedure that was supposed to be followed.... No other reason, unless a careless repair at some time?..... til..lat'r...GT...

Hi guys, this handle was put on wrong at the factory. The guy just
sent it on it's way.He drilled and taped it from the wrong side. There is no tube in a A.E.G. like the Bing loader
