Drum revision progress!
Hello to all! Well, it's time for a progress report, and it is safe to say, we are up to our neck in drums right now! I have approximately 40 units(both customers & Numrich stock) that I spent the last three days disassembling and will now prep for revision and /or repair... (considerable amount of both!) .;) Anyway, Numrich now has a grand total 17 revised drums, and in approximately a month, if all goes well, they will have another 35! ... I am sending them back completed in a quantity of five drums in a shipment.... Doesn't sound like much, but you kinda need to be here to understand!??? ;) Best to all, til....lat'r.....GT....

I came across this pic in a book on machine guns and thought it was of interest. It raises the question: Which came first? The artillery drum or the submachine gun drum??? ;)

artillery drum - I was told these were used post-war and required an adapter
of course I could be wrong but that is what I was told |
Which came first? The artillery drum or the submachine gun drum??? ;) Ed is absolutely correct. The sub Machine gun that used the Artillery drum with the adapter was the MP 18. 1918.
