pricing
Apologies for multiple question posts.
Are gunbroker prices reasonable? I know it's subjective there just seems to be a lot of variances, for only minor differences. |
Sellers charge whatever they think they might get, and buyers pay whatever the item is worth to them... Your assumption is correct, the process is entirely subjective. "Reasonableness" is entirely in the eye of the beholder(s).
You would be better off to ask for estimates of what a particular gun or part is currently costing in the market today... and once you have some educated, yet subjective answers, you will be better prepared to make your purchase based on your budget. |
Some are very reasonable; others are "crazy"!
What John said is quite true. |

I think you need to look at all the dealer sites, all the auction sites (gunbroker, gunauction, etc) and get a feel for what 'they' think are good deals.
However, you'll still need to know what you want. Many variations of Lugers. Hundreds with sometimes one acceptance marking that makes it worth more! So, figure out the era, type, caliber and go from there. There are good deals on the forum too - just look around.... Oh, and remember, just because you don't see very many lugers at gunshops or gun shows, there are literally hundreds for sale every day... |
