What are these stamps?

Found these stamps on a barrel, mounted to a 42 code Mauser receiver:

-Eagle and "dowickie" on the right side
-A sideways "S" on the barrel band
-Caliber gauge underneath, next to the receiver

What do these stamps indicate?

BTW: That scaly stuff is some kind of coating, seems like somebody sprayed it with Duracoat...

TP is the Technical Police - i.e. the primary police armory in Berlin

the barrel gauge should be three digits, like 8,82 - etc (see FAQ)

Yes , last pic is the barrel gauge 8,84 for your's .

blueprint tolerance for the barrel gauge is 8.81-8.85mm so yours falls in the acceptable range.

So are these the stamps you would normally find on a "42" Luger?

No, that's a Weimar proof eagle, and the TP is a police marking from the '30s.

Obviously not original to a 42 code luger. Barrel eagle should look like the one on the front right side of the chamber/receiver.

Hmmmm... I just noticed that there is no eagle on the receiver. The only markings are the serial number on the left side (0132) and "42" on the chamber. I don't know if there were any commercial 42 codes, but it should have some kind of proof mark anyway, shouldn't it?
