1900/06 Production

DWM cross in shield S/N9116. Was this produced in 1908? How many were made in 1908 and what was the S/N range. How many were sunburst vs. cross in shield.

According to Bobba, it was shipped in early 1909 when 2,950 Lugers were produced for the Swiss. There were 1,950 made in 1908.

He indicates that the cross in sunburst was used until sn 9050, and the cross in shield was used starting with sn 9051 which was the first 1909 made Luger.

You have the 66th Luger shipped with the new symbol.

Sergio -

If you don't mind, could you tell us the serial of your Cross-in-Shield, and provide a close-up of the inspector's initials on the left side of the receiver?
