hello Everyone
I need some help please in deciding whether to buy the holster shown below.
I know nothing about lugers nor their holster, in fact I haven't even seen one in the "flesh".
Any comments would be gratefjully received.
Thanks
John

It would depend entirely on the price to me; to you ?

Why do you want a holster?

Your location might help too.

Also, any markings at all on the holster----date, unit, maker?

Hi DonVoigt
Thanks for your reply.
It's about 200usd and I live in uk.
Cheers
John

Sorry 280 usd!

I'm not a holster expert, so you probably want more informed opinions than mine.

I can't see the inspection mark, maker mark or date that you would expect to see stamped on the back of the holster.

I also don't like the uneven stitches along the curved edge.

I also don't like the appearance of the closure strap. Hole appearance is wrong.

If it's authentic, it has condition issues that would prevent me from acquiring it anyway.

Price is out of line for one in this condition in my market even if it were authentic.

Ay up me duck,

As I often say I'm not an expert on anything, especially on holsters; to me it looks more like a WWI holster but I'm not sure about the stitching of ther belt loops.
I'm sure that Jerry Burney (lugerholster repair) or some other friend much more expert than me will soon chime in.

Not a bad WW1 holster. Belt loops appear to have been poorly repaired. Probably a mite high priced for the condition. But that depends on your market. Bill

Hi Wlyon
Thanks for your reply.
I'm thinking of buying the holster and any help I get is gratefully received.
Thanks again
John

With all the condition issues I would certainly try and talk the seller down.

Thanks everybody for your help.
John
