Re: GT NAVY preview

Does anyone have a Navy Luger that can tell me the proper front sight blade height to make these work with the correct rear sight! GT thinks this one will shoot high and the front sight might be too low on it? I will fire it to verify but just thought I would like to know the correct height sight blade. This gun was made up from parts and given to GT in appreciation for all the fine work he has done for John Martz! I am doing my best to dress it up for him! Ted

Hey buddy thanks, I still can't get the strawing to come out right and the bluing to come out right on the photos, I can do one or the other! It alway looks washed out in the pictures taken in the shade! I think I will slap some of the 5 filters I have for the camera and do a little experimenting. I will get to shoot this baby Friday afternoon. I am finishing up the sideplate and the assembly tonight! Ted

ACtually this is a 1937 Mauser with a real Navy Rear sight and a 6" barrel added. It is a "parts" gun but kinda pretty! Can't wait to fire it! Ted

Hi Ted, It's absolutely stunning! It's hard to tell, but the rear sight isn't original...It is made up by J.V.M. and his crew.....But don't everyone get excited, as they are extremely expensive and time consuming to fabricate....he only uses them on his pistols and even then never has enough to go around! But it shows the talent that is out there! I love the look of that navy Ted! Thanks!!! till....later...G.T.
