Will you have a coffee with your Lahti?

Well, I finally scratched my nationalistic itch and picked up a Swedish Husqvarna made Lahti.

This one is a later WW-II era pistol, and is serialized as a commercial gun, one of about 600 that were made.

It has the beefed up slide, and this one was handled and shot so little that I doubt it ever saw the over-pressure problems that the military ones experienced with machine gun ammo.

Enjoy!

Nice!

I'm Jonesing for one too - but my gun fund is shot for the year.

I like to refer to mine as the heaviest and largest single stack 9 ever made. But well made.

It certainly is a massive handgun. Except for the weight, it feels in hand like a Luger because of the grip shape and angle. The action cycle accelerator is also rather unique.

I haven't shot it (and probably won't) but would expect that the mass of the gun makes for a fairly soft recoil...

They never went into mass production, but Mauser was toying with some direct blowback 9mm guns that probably were close to this gun's mass.

That's a purty one, nicer than mine.
You really should shoot it, they're excellent, polite, and accurate guns.

Marc,

That looks to be a dandy!! I am always surprised to see how many nearly new old weapons are actually still out there. Congrats!!
