1914 Artillery

I'm considering for purchase a 1914 artillery and have several questions re. its condition, etc.
It has the wooden magazine piece but only stamped with the last 2 digits of the SN.
The grips are a bit loose and have the SN penciled inside vs the usual stamping.
The latest issue of the Blue Book of Gun Values lists the 1914 artillery with a significant decrease in value. Is this accurate?
The BB also gives the 1914 model a 200% increase for that year.
Will appreciate any comments.

Please email your phone number and I will be glad to discuss the 1914 DWM artillery with you.

A wooden magazine bottom with only the last 2 numbers is one red flag, and grips with pencil markings are another.
I'm not sure of your question regarding the Blue Book, but regardless, we need a lot more info. to be of much assistance. Photos and complete description will give us something to work with.

The issue with the blue book is that it goes off of what they have been told. A 1914 is the rarest artillery, if a DWM, and not either an Erfurt or a 1914 model or style (some folks call the artillery a 1914 model) and then say, its a 1914 model with a year of 1918.

So, the 200% would be actually low for a 1914 DWM artillery.

PS welcome to the forum and I moved this to the artillery section :)

For a start, you need to state what the chamber date is and whether the pistol is a DWM or an Erfurt.
