Added pictures for Luger I'm looking for info on.

Belonged to my dad. I only took a few photos, and unfortunately not as many as I should of. The pistol is at my brothers house, so more images will have to wait. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Gavin, just from the very limited view of your Luger in these photos it appears to be in excellent condition and as soon as you can post more photos I have no doubt that the Forum members will give you all the information you are looking for. My uneducated guess and going by the three proof marks could possibly be a 1932- 34 Simson? And by the way, welcome to the forum.

Thanks Lon. I will. It is in really good condition, no doubt.

Gavin, pictures are great, but a description is needed.

See new collectors area, How to ID a luger.

toggle, markings, date, all is needed

Looks like a luger made in the early 20's to me

Gavin

First of all welcome to this Forum of Luger enthusiasts.
Congrats on your pictures, your Luger seems to be quite nice, would be interesting to seem some more detailed photos of it.

Regards

Sergio

Welcome to the forum!

Your holster appears a 41 dated WW2 holster, that somebody has stripped the black finish off of. Both belt loops, (if present, I can't tell from your photo), need to be re attached. Our own Jerry Burney can do this restoration and there is none better out there for Luger holster work.

Thanks again guys. I should add it has two magazines (non-matching #s) and what I guess is a takedown tool in the holster pouch.

Looks to be a 29 DWM Police, serial number 3117u. Blank toggle and chamber, sear safety and deactivated mag safety.
