1940 Luger 42, at auction!
Well I guess it was worth to add additional 75, Maybe NR buyers should read the rules sometimes it works in their favor.
Iam sure seller is Happy.:order: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...Item=496498411 |
Not sure what the story is here???

Let's see,,
"Nice clean P-08 Mauser 9mm Luger pistol for sale.. dated 1940 and Mauser factory No. 42 All matching numbers except the magazine, which is aftermarket. Also comes with a nice reproduction brown cowhide leather holster in very nice condition. I have several and need to clean out some of my duplicates...lol" Very standard description. It's a reblued Luger. Not mentioned in description, but that's obvious. Many new collectors think "all matching" being a big deal and rare, because they did not see many matching C&R for sale in local gun shops, and willing to pay for a matching gun, nothing wrong with that. |
couple of bidders without sense. They could have ended the bidding by using the buy it now.....
looking at the bidding history, the winner bid above the amount, probably days before. I think those are auto bids. NR - no previous bids that won, so, I guess they got excited..... |

I have had sellers edit/change an auction during its run. Especially the BIN price. If it was something I was bidding on, I sometimes didn't notice that the BIN had been lowered. I actually paid more than the BIN on one auction because I didn't look closely enough to see the change. It's not always noted by the seller. |
It would not have been a bargain at the buy it now either.
Re-blued pistol with terrible pictures and not much description, add a dash of bidder fever and boom- someone pays $500 too much, JMHO. I suspect the seller is scratching his head too. |
