Interesting P08 Safety Video
Thought everyone might find this video interesting. I've read about the ability of a disassembled P08 being able to fire a chambered round but have obviously never seen or experienced it. Having an AD disassembling a weapon Is reported frequently enough in the news. In the case of the Luger, if you missed the first one there is a second opportunity for disaster.
Obviously a "don't try this at home folks caviat". A useful demo from a safety perspective. Tom http://youtu.be/-1zmp-vhylQ |
With a round in the chamber, and the toggle "cocked" the upper assembly (already separated from the lower frame) can be fired by pressing in on the forward portion of the sear. This is a very dangerous practice... Kids --- DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME!
